The little peculiarities of being on board.

A maximum of 250 seats are available on the Hohentwiel (130 of them are below deck).

Passengers are kindly requested to be at the embarkation point no later than ten minutes before departure since departure times may change at short notice.

To ensure you are always sure-footed during the cruise, we especially ask ladies to refrain from wearing high heel shoes on board. Please note: the heel of your shoes must measure at least 2 x 2 cm in thickness!

We very much wish to pamper you with exquisite food aboard the Hohentwiel. Heino Huber and his team make meticulous arrangements and plans for each meal. If you are unable to eat or cannot tolerate certain ingredients please inform us of this no later than three days before your cruise. Thank you for your understanding.

You are kindly requested not to smoke in any of the salons or below deck. Naturally you may smoke on the deck itself. Please make sure to use the containers provided for the ashes.

Dogs and bicycles are not permitted on board.

Parents will be held liable for their children's actions.

Hohentwiel Schifffahrtsgesellschaft m.b.H. shall not be held liable in the event that a cruise has to be cancelled due to force majeure such as storms, floods, maritime accident or mechanical breakdown,

You can purchase tickets ahead of time directly on this website, from the Hohentwiel office in Hard, from the tourist information office, and from other points of sale.

An impressive ship with a lot of style and lovingly restored. A great atmosphere to cruise on a paddle steamer towards the sunset. The crew, the captain, crew and the ship’s cook all delighted us in equal measure.
